The full refurbishment and extension of an existing Hackney townhouse is in progress. The works are focused on a new board marked concrete and corten extension that provides generous connectivity to the garden as well as moments of repose and inhabitation in the oversize window seat.

A web of structural steels opens up the previously warrenous lower ground floor. The connection between these works and the refurbishment of the upper floors is hinged around a new stairwell bringing light into the depth of the building.
