Taking cues from the dramatic context the house is conceived as an assemblage of elements within the landscape which combine to form a series of carefully calibrated internal and external spaces.

Working closely with a local granite quarry, a combination of cropped walling stone and bushammered blocks is used throughout. The skill and expertise of local masons allows the detailing to push the limits of the traditional vernacular.
