A new stair core down to a lowered garden level operates as a hinge point within the plan of the building. A web of structural steels opens up a previously warrenous lower ground floor, allowing the new stair core to bring light deep into the plan of the building. A new board marked concrete and corten extension provides generous connectivity to the garden as well as moments of repose and inhabitation in the oversize window seat.
