A complete reimagining of the open plan ground floor interior results in a series of carefully differentiated spaces. The original main stair arrangement is restored from which a series of interconnected spaces radiate. New axes and views of the garden are opened up to give the space a generous, sociable feel, flooded with natural light.
A similar set of principles guide the master suite through a series of increasingly cloistered spaces from a private living room, through bathroom and dressing spaces to the bedroom. A bespoke vanity unit anchors the plan, hosting the everyday rituals within a dwarf wall of porphyry.

By making a few considered structural interventions to the plan and performing a wholesale refurbishment, the project seeks to transform the way the space works and feels for our clients and their young family. A consistent material palette of natural stone and timber is deployed throughout, interspersed with a number of carefully crafted moments.
